The warning strike ordered by the Nigeria Labour Congress has paralyzed activities at the federal secretariat, Abuja.
Public and civil servants in the Federal Capital Territory stayed away from their offices, which remained under lock and key.
At the federal secretariat, workers had in total compliance shunned their duty posts on Thursday, being the first day of the strike.
However, activities in most banks remained unaffected with staff insisting that they are yet to receive any directive whatsoever to embark on any strike. Meanwhile, normal activities continued at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
