The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), has arraigned Philomina Chieshe, the woman who claimed that the missing N36million of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) funds in her custody was swallowed by a snake in Makurdi, Benue state.

Chieshe was arraigned alongside Samuel Umoru, before an FCT High Court in Maitama, on an 8-count charge bordering on alleged fraudulent acquisition of property, criminal conspiracy and breach of trust.

They, however, pleaded not guilty to the 8 count charges brought against them by the Federal Government.

Justice Peter Afen adjourned the case until June 3 for the hearing of their bail applications and ordered that the duo be kept in the EFCC facilities pending the determination of the applications.
