One person was killed and property worth millions of naira destroyed, after a rainstorm hit the city of Abuja on Saturday Night.

Greetings Media correspondent who went round the city, reports that at the Galadimawa axis of the FCT, houses were pulled down, roofs removed, vehicles windshields shattered and electric poles brought down, as a result of the boisterous wind.

At the Galadimawa Primary School, the roofs were blown out and a block of class room collapsed killing on the spot a young man, who was trying to retire his business tools in the vicinity.

Other Residents who were also affected by the storm could be seen trying to salvage what’s left of the storm.

While appealing to the FCT administration to visit the area for an impact assessment, Some residents who spoke with our correspondent, also called on the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company to come in quickly and fix the damaged electricity infrastructure in the area to avoid more hazards.
